It was used during the NoVA epic this year. First time I’d ever ridden it (or was even aware of the existence of dirt trails there). Some interesting stuff, obviously rarely ridden though. I think there are plans to improve and promote it a bit more.

Its right off the W&OD between Vienna and Hunters Mill Road. Its where those ballfields are off to the side (opposite the parking lot).

Huh, I had no idea there were trails down there. Will have to check it out! I assume there’s a connector to W&OD there?

There is an entrance from the gravel horse path. There’s some single track back in the woods.

You can see some of the trails on the NoVa epic: http://app.strava.com/activities/57823458 (you gotta zoom in on the park). There is an entrance of the gravel horse path north of Clarks Crossing road, and another way in at the ballfields.

Awesome, thanks for the link. I will check it out next time the trails are dry enough for a nice cx commute.

Don’t get too excited! It was fun though to discover a trail I’ve not ridden on in area. Most of the good ones are now townhouses and government centers. I remember spending all day before where they built that gov center exploring – it was dirt bike and single track paradise! Lots of pine trees and packed paths, jumps, you name it. All destroyed so we can have better roads.

Looks like a great place to ride.. a horse! Were there really horse jumps and a dressage ring there like shown on the sign? On google maps satellite it looks empty.

There might be a horse area, but the trails are in the woods. From what I saw, they aren’t very horse friendly either (narrow, unmaintained and somewhat overgrown).
