Some parts of falls church realize that their only long term hope is to increase density and make the place less of a drive-through exurb, others do not. Every little improvement like this is a no-brainer as well as a political fight with the people who think that things can just stay the same forever. We’ll see what happens.

I think pages 11 – 17 are the parts of the Master plan being referred to. http://www.fallschurchva.gov/DocumentCenter/View/2145

Includes separated pedestrian and cycling trails. Now, if only we could be assured that the ninja joggers would use the pedestrian trail…

Is this serious? Sounds good to me.

Followed up with Paul Stoddart; Open House on 23 Jan to discuss improvements
As for the W&OD, that effort is in the planning/grant application phase. There’s an upcoming meeting on Saturday, January 23 (flyer attached). The project page, with the latest draft plan, can be found here: http://www.FallsChurchVa.gov/WODMasterPlan. The City has grant applications in for next fiscal year (starting July 2016) to begin work on plazas and two of the crosses. We should know about those funds in the next few months.
