Chasin’ Tail April 13th Happy Hour 5:30ish

Heading out from Metro Center area at 4:30 and riding to Chasin’ Tails. Haven’t yet decided whether to go North or South. Hills or miles, hills or miles…
Either way, wouldn’t mind some company to keep me honest on the ride.

I’ll be leaving around 4:15 from the Navy Yard and riding the MVT and Custis to the Giant Foods (just east of the S-Curves). At around 5 I will be meeting up with my wife and attaching the double Chariot with two of my boys inside. My wife will pull the third in a bike seat and we will attempt to lug 140 lbs of children up the hills of the Custis. Feel free to pass us along the way. That beer will taste so good when we finally get there.

Leaving Capitol Hill at 4:15 and will most likely go the southern route. Feel free to try to catch me, although I should be across the bridge by 4:30. Once I get the infant fed, I’ll try to stop by, but might not be til after 6:30.

I’ll keep an eye out for ya. I’m on the big purple roubaix, fat tire jersey, green chrome bag. I’ll be the peacock to your zebra. I usually go Independence to 15th to East Basin to get to the 14th St. GMMB.

I get people who call out “Car Back” when I’m approaching. Though it didn’t keep me from getting rear-ended *AND* doored on my ride to work this morning. Luckily the former hurt Mr. Aerodynamic “I’m too cool to get out of my aero bars” much more than me and the latter was at slow enough speed that I just put a huge tire print on the door card of Ms. “Don’t look before you leap”‘s Lexus.
