ParticipantI’ll probably make it as that place is about 1 mile from my house and I have been meaning to try it. I can even walk to the subway that day and stagger home.
I think the entrance may technically be on Lee Hwy. Does anybody know if this location is replacing the now closed Bear Rock Cafe? If so, the entrace is definiitely on Lee Hwy.

Yes, it is in the location of the old Bear Rock. The restaurant space is the western most ground level store front and its entrance is on an angle to both Lee Highway and Westmoreland St, and the main length of the building fronts Westmoreland.

It’s an inbetween sorta place…like the restaurant at the end of the universe.
Uh, no, because that restaurant is at the “end” — hence the name — so there is nothing after it for it to be between. Perhaps you’re thinking of the restaurant just before it, the penultimate restaurant.

ParticipantWhat? Like one in Manassas or something?

Adding further evidence that the Big Bang Theory is accurate. Arlington County just keeps expanding and expanding into the cosmos……

Okay, so it’s in Falls Church, right?
No, wait….
Yah, it is, It’s just not in Falls Church City.

ParticipantRemember, East Falls Church is in Arlington County and has not been part of Falls Church City since 1936. Reference

ParticipantNow that we’ve decided Chasin’ Tail is in a remote undisclosed location that seems impossible to locate with any degree of accuracy, let’s show up anyway.
Next Friday, the 13th, 5:30ish.
Trough provided but locks are not.ann

ParticipantSounds good to me. Are you making the reservation?

ParticipantI’m going in that direction tomorrow afternoon. Will stop in and splash around in the trough.

There you go setting high expectations for the rest of us to live up to.

ParticipantI stopped by Chasin’ Tail this afternoon. It is visible from the W&OD at the intersection with Lee Highway.
We have the party room for next Friday. I thought perhaps it would be a good idea to separate us from the, uh, lively bar action.

You can see there is a large patio we could possibly use if the weather is good, I’ll work this out later next week.
Yes, they serve food directly from pails. (oh my)
Yes, there is bike parking in the garage down the block and at inverted Us scattered along the edges of the sidewalk. However, I’m going to talk to the property manager on Monday and see if an additional rack can be brought out for us.
Extra Specialness: Bikenetics, the local bike shop closest to Chasin’ Tail is going to send over some brochures with coupons in them.
Among the flavors sold @ Bikenetics, is this fabulous Kona Tika woman’s mountain bike.

ParticipantMore Good News!
Bike Arlington has generously offered some swag for Happy Hour this Friday. There is only one condition. Mr. Kelley requires me to pick it up on my bike. That’s ok, I’ll bring my vuvuzela to serenade him with my thanks.A Nod to WABA’s Outreach Program for Women (and anyone else who would like to jump on a bike but doesn’t know where to begin). http://www.waba.org/blog/
I’ve invited a few of my women friends who would like to bike but have no idea how to get started or what kind of bike to buy.
There will be plenty of experienced riders in the room who can give advice so if you have a friend who would like to learn about bikes, bring them.I’m looking for a rough count too if you care to commit.
