Location: 2200 N Westmoreland Street, Arlington, VA.
Phone: 1 703.538.2565I realize this is not in Arlington County. It is in Fairfax, a scary place for some. But trust me, no passports are necessary.

Errr, then why does it have an Arlington address?

ParticipantLocks? What is this strange device you speak of?
(I honestly haven’t used a lock in a couple years. I either do a fitness ride and return home, or I use CaBi for commuting or running errands.)

ParticipantI might be there, but no guarantees. I’m not so good at making it to various happy hours.

Because it is actually in Arlington. The boundry line between the City of Falls Church and Arlington County is between 4 Mile Run and Westmoreland St. My source of information the Arlington County Bike Map.

ParticipantForgive me, but when I think of Arlington I think of a magical place where everyone is beautiful, wears flip-flops and organic cotton. A place where micro-brews rule, there’s a Capital Bikeshare station on every corner and people use the Arlington Loop.
Chasin’ Tail is a bit removed from all *that*. It’s Arlington by street address only.
Terribly sorry.

But it’s only a half block from an MUP and a crappy intersection and sometimes the noise from an Interstate drowns out conversation, how much more Arlington can you get?

ParticipantOne thing nice about Bing is that it actually shows jurisdictional boundaries on its maps, unlike Google Maps:

ParticipantIf you take the Van Buren Street “alternate” route for the W&OD, you can see one of the original boundary stones for the District of Columbia in Benjamin Banneker Park, right next to the street. That is just southeast of Chasin’ Tails, as the crow flies.

depends what you search for. if you type in a zip code or say, “Arlington, VA” you’ll get boundaries. although not if you zoom in too much. weird

ParticipantSo this place is in East Falls Church, in Fairfax County, but really in Arlington.
Got it.

It’s be nice if it labelled the boundaries on either side, instead of that silly legend at the top.
