Carbon frame painter…

I just had a carbon frame done by Calfee Design in California. It should arrive later this week, but the whole process was very smooth (but also a little pricey…)

Calfee or Cyclart would be my first two choices.

Like the others have said, Calfee and CycleArt rock. I’ve used Calfee for a carbon frame and CycleArt for many steel frames. I’ve heard good stuff about their work with carbon.

I’d also put in a plug for Hot Tubes. I haven’t used them yet, but they are the only certified paint shop for Cervelo. If anyone else paints it, the warranty is void. When I get un-lazy, I’m sending them my Cervelo.

You might want to check with the frame manufacturer and see if they have a painter that will not void the warranty.

For someone closer Bilenkey in Philly does paint. A friend of mine had couplers installed and his bike repainted at the same time by Bilenekey. They did a beautiful job. I dont know however if they do carbon.

Calfee appears to have a backlog of work right now. My bike was sent to them in mid-November for a frame repair, and I still don’t have it back yet. (Their website says turnaround time is usually about 3 weeks.)

I had sent mine to Calfee back in November and just got it back last week. It was about a 6 week process.
