This is a total no brainer. There are issues with deliveries and with the people who live and park in condos across from the Torpedo Factory but they’ve been solved in other cities many times.
I rode through the intersection twice today. Cars just don’t work there. At all.
They should also study making the Union and other streets one-way. Put a protected cycle track down the street and diagonal parking on the opposite side.
Maybe that would keep the residents from parking perpendicular to the curb and blocking the southbound bike lane.
