Nice crank. 261 power, with an 178 aveHR! Nice job pushing yourself! Would that technically be zone 6?

20 minutes of the hour was the leisurely ride to the race…then maybe an hour of standing around (lap 1), then the 40 minute, 14 mile course (lap 2). It’s recorded as a single ride, but you can see the lap details if you look at the splits (unless that’s not visible in the link…).

Thanks for the clarification. That’s a decent VI, but you could get it lower with more practice–was the course particularly hilly?

So with your max 20 minute power being so close to your 40 minute power I think you need to do a true 20 minute test and figure out a way to motivate yourself….

Climbing was about 500ft over 14 miles, so certainly not flat. Part of the problem was that it was in the woods, so lots of false flats where my cadence would spike when I wasn’t paying close attention.

Hit 822W today racing Deirdre home (she in her car). It was actually about 2 miles in to a 3+ mile, pretty-much-all-out effort on my part, so maybe I can hit 1000W after all.

And you won! Damn red lights.
