    That seems to be the opposite of curmudgeonly. Hear hear.

    Is this the area they plan to cover?

    (have they talked about when they’ll be getting in touch with cyclists?)

    I think that is the right area, give or take a few blocks. Certainly it gets at the bulk of it.

    I don’t know the timing. I just passed all of your contact info on to them — I had been waiting for a few folks to get back to me with contact info. I will see them for coffee (in Vienna) again on 3/14 so I will ask!

    Thanks again.

    Liz;

    Hillary Zahm from Macerich/Tysons Corner Center is donating a bike rack to Timber Lane Elementary School. They donated one to Freedom Hill last year. I got the initial plug from Jeff Anderson and worked with Hillary and the Principal to get this relationship started. Hillary now wants to partner with T’Lane to promote this relationship and get at least 100 people to register at their Bike to Work Day Pit Stop. If 100 register, they will donate the rack to T’Lane. I cycle commute from WFC to SW Waterfront so a trip to Tysons is certainly not on my way but I will register in support of T’Lane. I may even take the day off to help man their table. in any case, I am going to assume this effort is related to the effort you are talking about and an overall attitude change towards cycling from the Tyson’s group. i’ll keep you posted on the TLane relationship and, oh, I can’t claim to be a Tysons commuter. adamxpiceno@Verizon.net (FABB)

    I’ve hit the Tysons BTWD stop several times.. Some were quite packed and lots of fun. Last year just plain sucked. It was at the mall, behind LL Bean I guess. There was absolutely nothing there except a booth manned by FABB (I think, and thanks!). No food, crummy tschotchkes, nothing. Really pathetic. Let’s hope they pick it up this year.
