ParticipantI’m asking the Friends of the Mt. Vernon Trail to volunteer at the Rosslyn event, since we were talking about doing a light giveaway in conjunction with daylight savings. Will let you know how many folks can attend. I’ll be there for sure, but at 5:15 to 5:30ish.

Original message:
Hi there fine folks for the Forum,
BikeArlington and WalkArlington’s annual Daylight Savings light and reflective goody giveaway approaches. As usual, we’ll have small “be-seen” blinky lights and reflective gear to give to trail users who need lights.
But we always depend on volunteers to make this event happen, and it ends up being pretty fun and social.
Dates for Lighten Up Arlington this year:
Monday, November 5 @ 4:30PM – 7:00PM – Rosslyn Bikeometer (corner of Lynn and Lee Highway)
Wednesday, November 7 @ 4:30PM – 7:00PM – Columbia Pike (intersection of W&OD Trail and Columbia Pike, by the Learners Loop Park)If you’re game to help out, shoot me an email at info@bikearlington.com or drop a comment below. Happy to have folks just stop by for a bit on their way home, too.
Appreciate y’all!
Erin

Which day?
Monday the 5th so we can be near the lovely Mt. Vernon Trail. We would help with the other one on the W&OD, but we’re currently beefing with them. https://twitter.com/MtVernonFriends/status/1058149990466535425

But also, I’m going to try to telework and help at the one on the W&OD since I can get there from my condo almost entirely without pedaling.

ParticipantI’m going to have to bow out for Monday’s event, shouldn’t be standing that long.
