You probably think Chris Froome’s twice over the limit salbutomal is OK then?

Some of us expat midwesterners might be inclined to say we almost never get a real winter here.
Don’t forget I’ve seen your Strava posts, so I think you don’t really mind the winter not being overly severe.
I really did enjoy those couple of weeks in January when it got cold and the river froze over. I didn’t enjoy there being more salt on the roads than snow. That’s ridiculous.

It looks like someone is planning a repeat of last year’s leaderboard hijacking. Team 20 better get their numbers in order or I’m removing them from the leaderboard.
It appears that we have been infiltrated?

Is there a difference between active cheating and active trolling?

The Strava group for Team 20, the Infiltrated, appears to be back down to 9 active members and is no longer overly infiltrated.

My post should not be read to infer I prefer midwestern winters. I’m reminded every year when I visit family at Christmas time that winter there is usually worse and always longer than here.
I had a friend in graduate school (in Chicago) who had grown up in Southern California. He once said, “People everywhere b*tch about the weather, but some have much better justification.”

I had my popcorn out yesterday. Today I came in and was just perplexed.

I hope those cheaters come to happy hour to claim their prizes.

ParticipantI am truly baffled by this and have no idea what’s going on, but all the infiltrators on team 20 are now called Cheaters on the FS leader board.
8. BAFS 2018 Team 20 – The Infiltrated: 17,686 points (10,846 miles)
Cheater 3: 2,318 points (45 days, 1,868 miles)
Steve S: 2,255 points (63 days, 1,625 miles)
Doug E: 2,056 points (74 days, 1,316 miles)
Cheater 4: 1,964 points (46 days, 1,504 miles)
Ryan S: 1,699 points (67 days, 1,029 miles)
Brian C: 1,418 points (56 days, 858 miles)
S W: 1,254 points (44 days, 814 miles)
paul g: 1,168 points (51 days, 658 miles)
randi f: 964 points (74 days, 224 miles)
Anjali K: 808 points (54 days, 278 miles)
Joshua H: 616 points (39 days, 226 miles)
Elizabeth B: 616 points (40 days, 256 miles)
John M: 502 points (35 days, 162 miles)
Cheater 2: 26 points (1 days, 16 miles)
Cheater 5: 20 points (1 days, 10 miles)We jumped from 20th to 8th, so no prizes, but I do hope the system works and it goes back down to 20. None of this matters, but some of it matters more to some than to others.

That’s so weird.

ParticipantThis is all so weird and completely unexpected! Why, a slackers-team-takeover like this has never happened before!
I’m glad we’re not taking this too seriously. None of this will change the final outcomes, of course. I’ll tighten up the athlete sync which should clean out the remaining “Cheater” users. I suspect they are only in the db now, not in the actual Strava club. Though I’m not on Team 20, so what do I know.
