I thought this was a totally reasonable question — I certainly don’t see why a team captain had to publicly blame his teammate for bringing it up privately. And though I would have booted the person who was late to join if I was in charge, I’m not in charge and I didn’t put in any work other than riding my bike. I also don’t think anyone can blame the Dark Cabal – well, except maybe AlanA – for its decision.
More importantly, and as someone who takes every “competition” way too seriously: Who cares?!
I’m pretty sure Rule 5 is in effect here.

I do realize that once in a while I may read a certain negativity into some of the posts, especially when aimed at me in particular. And I have been advised that this is all in good fun, and that most people make comments meant to be taken in a humorous way. I have come to accept that. But…..
Maybe I don’t know how to read, but would you please explain to me where I publicly blamed a teammate for this. My original post said that I was made aware of this by a teammate (who was never named by me). I figured that since I have VOLUNTEERED to be a Captain of a team, that I should at least do something to follow through, so I made my original post. Perhaps my mistake was to make a post, and I should have done it via private message. But I certainly was not aware of that option. I have no problems with any decisions made, and was never trying to publicly blame or humiliate anyone. Just a simple inquiry. But apparently with this group, there is no such thing as a simple inquiry.
And if anyone dislikes my post I will accuse them of disliking all posts made by volunteers!! (There, how am I doing with this board humor??) It’s all in fun.
