Black Friday Coffee Club? 11/23

Help me, I’m a lower W&OD noob. I always split off onto the Custis in EFC so I’m not familiar with how to get to Best Buns from the W&OD or 4MR. What is the best way there? i.e. where do you cross four mile run drive? -Thanks.

You can take W&OD all the way to S Shirlington Road, hang a right and cross 4MR Drive and 4MR, then head briefly right on 4MRT and cross Arlington Mill Dr at Quincy. Best Buns is a block from 4MRT at Quincy & and the far side of Campbell

I would just ride the W&OD all the way until it dead ends at S. Shirlington Rd, and then ride the sidewalk on the west side of S. Shirlington down to the crosswalk that goes onto Quincy. Best Buns is just down Quincy next to Carlyle.

sounds great. i will also be there between 0700-0715. i work near SW waterfront and commute from falls church so this is enroute. the ‘g’ spot in dc is not on my way. anyone traveling in from the east on W&OD…we can meet on the West side of Rt 7 wooden bridge at about 0630 and ride in together. i’ll be checking in again tomorrow morning around 0530. oh, i’ll be the guy with reflecto and blinkie on left calf and reflecto on right ankle.

Just a reminder to Best Buns newbies – if you don’t see our group right away (seating in Best Buns is limited), note that there is an inside glass door that connects to the (Carlyle) restaurant, which allows Best Buns customers to use its tables in the mornings. So just go through those doors after you get your orders and look for us. They have lots of yummy things there. The cheddar-bacon scone is my regular downfall.

Early crowd had a nice warm beverage and chat at 7:15. I arrived with eminva, about the same time as consularrider, Arlingtonrider showed up about 15 minutes later. Hope everyone has a nice morning today. Don’t go too crazy with the shopping!

I would have been stopping at Best Buns for my second breakfast materials anyway, but it was nice to also enjoy a cup of coffee to warm up and chat with a few. Dismalsscientist was going in as I had to leave for work. Maybe I’ll make more of an effort and get over to a Friday Coffee Club at Swings in the new year.

It was great getting together with you all this morning! It got me up and moving early on a non-work day, and it was really nice to see all of you.
