Anyone planning on attending coffee club this Friday. I may be the only guy working on Friday so I will probably stop over for a cup. If you plan on going out to shop or you had been out since midnight shopping you’re probably going to need a little caffene. Anyone else planning to be in town, around 17th and G, say 8ish on Friday?
I heard on the twitterz that Swings is closed on Friday…I think #bikeDC was doing a WednesdayFriday Coffee Club instead.

ParticipantConfirmed. You can drink no coffee on friday (Swings is closed)
But there is this from Alex BPAC – I am hopeful for attending:
Friday November 23, 10 am – 1pm, 18 miles, Escape From Black Friday
While everyone else is shopping, we will ride directly south on the Mt Vernon Trail. This trail is nice in the winter because, with less leaves on the trees, there are some nice river views. This ride will turn around when we hit the halfway point in terms of time, so we won’t necessarily cover the entire 18 miles to Mt Vernon and back.

ParticipantI won’t be around, but I will miss my Friday coffee all the same. And seeing all those covetable bikes. Oh, yeah, and the people I s’pose.

ParticipantAlas, I am working, too (at least part of the day), and even could have gotten out of the house at a decent hour since I wouldn’t need to see my son off to the school bus. Oh well. Guess it’s the usual Au Bon Pain coffee for me.

ParticipantDarn, and I was hoping for a good excuse for coming in late. Looks like I’ll wait in line again at Best Buns in Shirlington.

ParticipantDo we want to do our own Friday Coffee Club?
Proposal: Friday in Shirlington at 8 am

How about a little earlier – it’s still just over a half hour ride to work from there? Best Buns will be open their normal hours on Friday (open at 6 am).

I’ll plan on being there to get a coffee and croissant between 7 and 7:15 am. Have to hit the trail by 7:45.

ParticipantI’m in for a Best Buns meet, whether I work that day or not. I think they open at 6 a.m., but that would be too early for me. :p. Around 7:15 works though, even though it’s on the early side for me.

ParticipantI’m in.
Friday Coffee Club is very informal drop in. Come early. Stay late. Alexandria BPAC ride starts at 10 am.
I am gonna send out a tweet.

ParticipantIt’s too bad the Carlyle and Best Buns outdoor seating is gone for the season. At least we can take our Best Buns stuff over to a table in the Carlyle.

ParticipantI will try to get there at 7 or 7:15. Looking forward to it!
