ParticipantInstead of praising him you should be chastising him for costing you first place. It is good and right to chastise any Cannon.

ParticipantBut the roads. They are all covered with salt and dirt. I might get smucka on my tricycle!

ParticipantHey team,
I know FS is long over, but I got to be rather close with many of you. Some of you know I mentioned the health issues for our coming baby, and now we are so close. We are due for induction this Wednesday. We put together a blog so we can keep friends and family updated about our baby and what happens in the coming months. I wanted to share a link with you guys so you can keep tabs on everything.
I know this is kind of impersonal and may not be the best place to post it, but aside from the BA forum I don’t have a way to contact many of you.
Best wishes fellow bears. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/thefingermanfamily

It was good to get your update, Ian, as we’ve been thinking about you a lot in anticipation of April 8. I hope things go as well as they possibly can, though I realize it will be excruciatingly difficult and heart-wrenching even under the best-case scenario. Let me know whenever you’re up for a ride or a beer … I know our fellow bears (and friends-of-bears) would want to join as well.
Holding you, Carolyn and little Acky in the Light and sending love and hugs from your bear family. w&wApril 6, 2015 at 1:54 am #1027501vern
ParticipantThanks for posting that, Ian. We will be thinking good thoughts for your and your family.

ParticipantTo Bipolar Bears Team Captain Ian: Congratulations on your baby boy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry you, um, fainted when your wife’s water broke.
To quote your wife, “Guess if you’re going to hit the floor face first there are worse places to do it than in a hospital.”
Let us know when you’re ready for that beer, Ian…Baby Charlie is now at Children’s National awaiting his first heart surgery. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Welcome to the world, Charles Owen Fingerman.April 10, 2015 at 2:19 pm #1027863vern
ParticipantHilarious that our CAPTAIN fainted! Great news that the delivery was otherwise uneventful. Congratulations!

ParticipantIndeed. Captain Ian rode 1619 miles this winter, in blizzards, ice, and single-digit temperatures. The guy’s got guts of steel. But we have discovered his Achilles’ heel. :+)
