Biking into one-way traffic in the NoMA/Union Station

What can be done about the well-intentioned bicyclists and cabiciclysts that ride into one-way traffic?

I know first street construction is annoying, but there’s a perfectly reasonable alternative for traveling north from Union Station into the NoMA – Second St! I use it every day that I’ve commuted since the construction began. What can be done to inform the folks about this perfectly reasonable alternative?

ALSO – what can be done about the CaBi folks coming from the station east of union station near f street riding into oncoming traffic from columbus circle?

It’s like asking what can be done about the earth continuing on its orbit while spinning on its axis….

Maybe more signage? A map that instructs bicyclists about the alternate route? Enforcement?

These are things I do not know about, but would like to learn about from someone on the forum.
