I’ve come to learn that the Virginia riders on this forum are generally up for doing ridiculous things on their bicycles.

Pete wins that one, of course, but I just couldn’t figure out why I was feeling so sluggish on my bike. Turns out I’d forgotten to take two U-locks, a thick cable lock, a cable, and another thinner cable lock out of my panniers. Oops.

(And real credit to Pete for motivating this. Without him, I’d definitely have just looked out the window on Saturday and set my alarm for “Sleep In” on Sunday . . .)

Where is the triple Like button when you need one? Cargo, even lowly groceries separate the spandex, carbon fiber lawyer crowd from the ‘real’ cyclists.

Class warfare comes to the Waba forums. ;););)

I use the cargo bike to facilitate my spandex and carbon fiber jones.

What a great event! The people at Proteus are awesome. I love that shop more than ever. If you’re in the area, check them out. They’re truly a cool community bike shop with a great attitude and a great support of the local riding scene.

Proteus has pot luck suppers on Thursdays 7-9 at the shop, so please come on back and visit! It was really cool for a “junior” member of the forum to meet legends like Pete. And I recognized Ann immediately by her awesome rhinestone studded helmet. Very fun. Thanks for coming out – what a great group!

So I guess that means the pedicab cyclists take the top crown?
