ParticipantThanks for sharing it here, Judd! I’ll be bringing nametags and Sharpies, and there’s going to be a special super neato announcement, as far as I understand.

I put it on the calendar. Feel free to populate the calendar yourself to catch people like me who are not Facebook users.

Look in the mirror. You are BikeDC.
BikeDC is just the phrase for anyone that rides a bike somewhere near DC. Monthly happy hour is open to all cyclists or cyclist friendliest. Usually a good crowd of 20-30 people. The location rotated depending on who steps up to organize.
Mr. T organized this month so it is conveniently down the street from his house.

ParticipantCool beans. Haven’t been to Bar Roubaix yet, so that will be a bonus.

Relieved to learn I’m not the only FaceBook Luddite. Woohoo!!

Ah — should I have not added it to the Calendar link at the top of the page, then? (Apologies if so; just let me know if I should remove it?)

You can, but I don’t think many people look at it.
On the FS home page scroll down and you will find the Google calendar. You can add this calendar to your own google calendar. About 90 people have editing rights to this calendar, and I am happy to add more. I attempted to give everyone who signed up for FS editing rights a couple of weeks ago, but I suspect most of them deleted the email invitation thinking it was spam.

ParticipantHi all,
Well, the weather looks like it’s taking a turn for the worse this evening, but fortunately, Bar Roubaix is directly adjacent to the Columbia Heights Metro station, and you can now take bikes on Metro anytime. There are also several CaBi docks in the area, and the 42, 52 and 54 buses all stop nearby. And there’s plenty of bike parking on Bar Roubaix’s patio, and some street racks and poles are around, also. See you later!

ParticipantUnfortunately can’t make it but wanted to point out that Bar Roubaix has perogies to fulfill your dumpling ride needs!

ParticipantThanks to all who came out for the happy hour, it was fun! I counted a couple of times, and around 30-40 people were there, and I probably missed a few. Next month’s Third Thursday happy hour will be on Feb 21 at the Velo Cafe, where we join forced with the Hains Point 100 happy hour.
