And remember! You commuting ELITE. You can also purchase these fine items in your local LBS or online…. and reserve the BA SWAG to the evangelism of SEE AND BE SEEN.

So was there pie? Will there be pie? I’ll probably roll through about 440, if y’all are setting up, I’ll stop to say hi…

    You’re obsessed with pie.

On Monday at the giveaway a couple people were curious when I mentioned that there are sometimes police at the intersection of doom — here’s a poorly-shot image from this morning:

See the parked police motorcycle and the policeman standing and watching the intersection. You can tell he’s there because, for once, there aren’t cars blocking the crosswalk while the ‘walk’ signal is showing.

I got this young man to do a before/after shot. I adjusted the photos a bit so that the exposure was about the same. That made for a bit of a halo effect around the vest, which I find somewhat appropriate.

This is completely an illustration. As cyclists, we never actually see someone as well as the person on the left…. not unless we’re rocking a 2000 lumen light, which is completely unworkable on the trail. It doesn’t take a very powerful light to make someone dressed like the gentleman on the right light up and be seen.

Thank you Bike Arlington for doing this. It makes a HUGE difference for those of us on the trail…. both the people who received the vests and lights and those who share the trail with them.

It was delicious! So sorry for anyone who missed it. Thanks Jon! And I’m happy that it gave some extra impetus to your plan to add a rack to your bike. You’ll enjoy having that!

On Monday night I was one of the last to leave the blinky give-away and ended up with a few spares of both the red and white lights. I put one of extra of each on the bike and a few in the backpack. Tonight on the way home I passed one very dark rider. I came up next to him and queried, in the nicest way possible, no lights? He said his headlight just got stolen. So the extra blinkies migrated from my bike to his and one of my BA ankle bands went his way too. He was SOOOO grateful.

I’ll have to restock for tomorrow’s ride. Thanks BikeArlington!

Admit it, that was Freudian. You actually hate lights, and want to run on the WOD wearing only black at night!

No, that leaves you marked as both “Like” and “Dislike”. To remove the “Dislike”, you should be able to select that option. In other words, once you select “Dislike”, the button should change to “Undislike”.
