Bike Parking in Federal Govt. Buildings

There is bike parking in the garage at 7th and D. I’m still doing Bikeshare at the moment, but a coworker parks his bike there almost every day. There are racks and a couple of cages, and it’s inside the garage, so you don’t have to worry about your bike disappearing. You might need to wait until you get a badge to start using the garage, though.

I work for ICE and am at Potomac Center North (PCN) at 12th and D SW…there are about a dozen of us parking our bikes regularly in the building garage…when i got there two years ago i contacted the Facilities Manager right away to request access to the garage only for bike parking..they coded my badge for garage parking but didn’t give me a pass for my car…so, i dont have any problems at all getting in to the garage..recently one of my co-workers was getting grief from the guards for not having proper garage access but he got it all taken care of…anyway, as mentioned, once you get your badge and access to the building you should be able to park your bike in the garage…and i doubt other buildings will let you park your bike if not directly affiliated with that building or organization…
