I submitted a work ticket to Call.Click.Connect on March 9, it was closed on March 11. Today I got a chance to ride down and check out the fix. Sadly, the light still cycles through flashing yellow, yellow and then red. While I was watching the bike light, I noted that the pedestrian light cycled through solid white, flashing countdown and solid don’t walk. I have submitted another ticket.

As it happens, while I was watching the signals, I got to also observe a car blocking the driveway, looking to the left and ignoring anyone on the right.

This photo really illustrates the problem. It’s easy to see those big hedges that require cars to move forward onto the trail to see traffic. Based on this, I think the only viable solution is No-Right-on Red. Is that what your request is?

I have two requests – one is to address the signal and the second is to have “When Pedestrians are Present” sign removed. The later requires approval from the Traffic and Parking Board.

Along with checking the signals, I also checked the sightline from the driveway. While I wasn’t in a car, I thought the view did not require pulling into the bike path and the hedges were not in the way.

That’s a lot of clutter to distract the driver looking right (if they ever do) though.
