Falls Church City bike racks in the shape of bikes.
Not sure how practical they are, but they look nice and can be found throughout the town.
Love the looks of these! [emoji3590] Haven’t tried to lock up to them though-please report practicality! [emoji41]

ParticipantThe new protected bike lanes (in 2020) coming into Crystal City on Potomac Ave.
That and the silky smooth new pavement make this a nice bike route. Just watch out for broken glass, which I’ve seen a couple times last few months. Plus joggers who like the lane

ParticipantI know this won’t win for novelty, but here’s the newly opened Cedar Lane bridge over I-66 in Vienna, complete with a lovely and wide multi-use path! A great reopened connection between Merrifield and Vienna!

We all love to learn about the cool stuff being built to make our cycling lives easier. From mechanical stands, to tire ramps up stairs, to all things more substantial let’s share where these gems are located! This can include items built by jurisdictions, business, or even private residents- but must be publicly accessible.
Take a picture & document what it is, and where it’s located & post to this thread. Winner will be determined by the most unique entries.

Ok- due to peer pressure, I am updating this pointless prize accordingly:
– Snap a picture & document what & where the infrastructure is & post within this thread.
– Post to Strava using the hashtag #BikeInfrastructure.
One prize will be awarded to the person who identifies the MOST bike infrastructure.
One prize will be awarded to the person who identifies the most unique & awesome bike infrastructure (as identified by the judge [emoji4]).

Instead, a boring infrastructure sighting of the Capital Bikeshare station at Lee Hwy & Woodstock in Arlington.
