A few of these have passed, but there’s a bunch of great bike events happening in Alexandria in May. I hope to see you at some of them. – Judd
May 1 – Carlyle Council Bike To Work Month Happy Hour – 4:30 – 6:30 at Tequila and Taco (540 Carlyle St)
May 4th – Pedals ‘N’ Pints May Long Ride- 9:45 to noon – Port City World Headquarters – 3950 Wheeler Ave Alexandria, VA 22304

May 11 – Saturday Road Ride – 8:30 a.m. – Conte’s Old Town (1100 King St, Alexandria, VA)
Join us for a weekly road ride on Saturday mornings in Alexandria. Wheels rolling at 8:30. Coffee and pastries provided post-ride!We will be riding on roads with automobile traffic. Be prepared for 20-25 miles with a couple of hills sprinkled in. 13-15 mph avg pace. Road bike recommended, helmet required. Please bring lights, as visibility can be poor at the beginning of the ride.

Velocity Bicycle Cooperative comes to 4MRMarket two times a month offering: “Advice, Assessments & Adjustments”.
Volunteers will be on-hand for folks to ask questions about bicycling. Bring your bike and they’ll perform an assessment to determine if there are any areas that might need fixing. Minor adjustments will be made onsite.
All services mentioned will be free.

BIKE TO WORK WEEK (Three Days Actually)
WHEN: May 13th, 15th,and 17th 2019
6:30 AM – 8:30 AM
WHERE: John Carlyle Square Park 300 John Carlyle Street, Alexandria, VA
WHAT: Challenge yourself to three days of bicycle commuting during Carlyle’s Inaugural Bike to Work Week. Visit the Carlyle Pit Stop all three days for free swag and you will receive a free pair of bike socks. You will need to pick-up a check-in card at the Pit Stop on Monday and get it punched each day to qualify for the socks.May 16th – Fix a Flat Clinic – 7 pm to 8 pm – Conte’s Old Town (1100 King St, Alexandria, VA)
