    Constitutional issues (god given right to drive like an asshat) would prevent that in this country. Shame.

    They couldn’t seize and sell the cars instead of crushing them? Throwing out perfectly good cars seems an odd way to penalize bad drivers.

    While putting the bad drivers in the crusher would certainly seem more appropriate, if the evidence can be Go-Pro footage of a close pass, you are unlikely to make as positive an ID of the driver as you are of the car.

    You just take the car away from whoever owns it and give it to a poor person who needs a car but doesn’t have one.

    JK. I know that sort of thing is frowned on nowadays, even if police departments can still seize folks’ property without conviction.
