ParticipantI am likely in for this. It sounds like the perfect recovery ride after Monster Cross.

That’s good! Because you definitely don’t want to miss out on learning what DC Presidential monument once contained a quarter mile bicycle track!

It seems that Bob James is interested in learning how the Watergate Hotel got it’s name. Old people will remember the Watergate Hotel as the site of the 1972 break in of the Democratic National Headquarters that ultimately led to the resignation of President Richard Nixon.
Don’t let Bob James be the only person to know this piece of trivia! Plan to attend the awesome Bicycle Fun Club Presidents Day Ride!

ParticipantJudd,

ParticipantThis sort of sounds like fun. Assuming that the weather is tolerable, I’ll do my best to make it. Although, I will got lots of extra miles coming from the boonies of MD.
Now If I could only get tech savvy and figure a way to get some type of reminder of this. (I’m old, and my mind isn’t what it used to be!!)

There is a very strong possibility that we will stop at the John F Kennedy Center for the performing Arts and eat a doughnut in honor of President Kennedy’s June 26, 1963 proclamation that, “I am a jelly doughnut.”

I will do my best to make this ride. If we’re going by the Trump Hotel, we have to stop and take a pic. It will be a truly amazing, fantastic, awesome, and beautiful pic.
