Hi Bicycle fans and Nats fans,

I have procured 16 tickets for the game on September 10. Looks like about 8-10 people so far have expressed interest. So there’s room for more.

We’ll fill in the details shortly, but the outline is social ride in the morning followed by group of us cheering the Nats on against the Phillies at 1:35pm.

I have six tickets for the game tomorrow night (Friday, August 25, 7:05pm v. Mets).
Five are claimed: Casey, Dane, Erin, Rimas, and me. That leaves one available for someone who would like to join us. $15. First responder gets it.

Our next Bicycle Fan Club ride is coming up! Sunday, September 10.

I have 16 tickets, which will go to the first 15 who pay (+ 1 for me makes 16). Only $20.

Tentative schedule is:
Pre-ride coffee
10ish – Depart on social ride
1ish – arrive at the bike valet at Nationals Ballpark
1:35 – First pitch

As before, anyone is welcome to join the ride even if you don’t attend the game. Others may join the game, but only if there are tickets left after the riders all get theirs.

It’s gonna be lonely. So far only one person has purchased their ticket.
The seats are $32 face value, but only $20 for you, and includes a fun bike ride.
I’ll even throw in free valet bike parking.

Details for the Bicycle Fan Club ride are mostly finalized. It will be a combined ride with Bobco’s Farewell ride.
All fans of Nats and/or Bob Svercl are encouraged to come on the ride, whether or not you will be attending the game.

(optional) 8ish – Pre-ride coffee at Best Buns
8:40 sharp – Depart best Buns
9:00 – Bluemont Caboose – Official start of Bobco’s Goodbye Ride
9:20-9:25 – Bluemont Caboose flyby for late-comers
10:30ish – Eisenhower Statue, east end of Eisenhower Avenue
10:55ish – S. end of Eads St. at 4-Mile Run Trail
6-7 minutes later – Pentagon City Whole Foods flyby
11:20-11:45 – Arrive in vicinity of ballpark

Then lunch with Bob (venue TBD). Game goers will head to the ballpark about 1pm. Bob & all others may stay and eat/drink as long as you like.

Oh! Now that this has been combined with Bobco’s farewell ride I’m going to do all I can to be there. That said, a lot rests on whether or not I can make it to church/chores after 50 States. I won’t know for certain until Saturday, but I’ll do my best!

You could hit St. Ann’s for their 7:30AM Sunday mass if Saturday doesn’t work for you. It’s right on the route and close to the Caboose. If that’s too onerous, just catch us later in the ride.
