Bicycle Fan Club Ride – Sunday, August 19

The Nationals are about to go on a tear (optimism!), and you can witness part of it.

Announcing the second Bicycle Fan Club Ride of 2018. If you missed the one in May, don’t miss this one!

Sunday, August 19
Nationals v. Miami Marlins (a team we should be able to beat)
Exact details TBD, but outline is:

9:30ish – pre-ride coffee (location TBD)
10:15 ish – Rollout (route TBD)
By 1:00 o’clock – arrive at Nationals Park
1:35 – first pitch

Right now I have 10 tickets, but I can get more if I know there is interest, so please respond if you plan to join.

After I peeled off, it took maybe 10 minutes to complete my District Hardware shopping mission and roll westbound. I saw (and heard) a half-dozen of these fools on Maine. I was on the cycletrack, and for that moment at least, they didn’t screw around there. I went on my way back to the Pike without further concern. Only later did I learn what we missed…
