Best DC Hostel

I am planning on cycling the C & O Canal towpath this April from Cumberland and camping along the way but looking to stay cheaply in DC to visit the area and take the train back to Cumberland the next day. I had heard of a Hostel to stay and I have reserved a night at HI-USA 1009 11th Street, NW but then learned of a friend who has planned the same trip and has made a reservation at the hostel on 506 H St NE. So I wonder which would be best to stay in, be able to store bikes and gear and catch the train the next day.

Can’t really help on the hostels themselves, but the H St. hostel would be significantly closer (just a couple of blocks) to Union Station, which has some bike storage options that might suit your needs.
