Bar mitts

Ok, I am breaking down and getting bar mitts. The weather has convinced me.

I have:

1. One Campagnolo equipped road bike (that I ride on weekends whenever ice/snow allows);
2. Two Shimano equipped bikes that I use for commuting/bad weather riding. May convert one to Campagnolo also.

My main commuter is Shimano 105 equipped (old style, external cabling).

I will purchase the bar mitts that are for external wired shifters. Questions for you bar mitt gurus:

1. I take it I can use the bar mitts on my Campa equipped bikes without any issues.
2. I am a regular sized human, if slightly soft around the middle (200 lbs, around 5’7″), and wear large sized gloves. What bar mitt size should I purchase? I was thinking mediums as virtus in media stat. Is this a good idea? Any utility in sizing up to a large?

These things are awesome. I had to switch over to my spring gloves just to keep things from getting too toasty. Now if they just made underwear I would be set.

Moose mitts are great. My husband has been going sans gloves since we got them. I piloted the bakfiets today, and even I was able to go glove – less in the afternoon (though the metal brake levers were a little chilly). Wow

We just restocked, so I think we’ve got what you need in stock. We did as of Thursday, at least.
