More ambitious than I’m prepared to be. I’d hesitate to drive on Columbia Pike during rush hour. I assume you’re going to take the sidewalk?

Don’t know that route too well, but it looks like you could also take the Bluemont > W&OD > S.Walter Reed > NVCC > Dawes > Holmes Run

Thats the route I usually take to get to Holmes Run from the Custis/W&OD intersection. The only iffy point is crossing King St on Walter Reed, otherwise I’ve encountered no problems.
