Hey All,
Jae here .. I live in the West End of Alexandria, though I do pet/house sitting and am often staying all over the place ..
Mostly .. Bluemont, Fair Oaks, Tysons/McLean are the most frequent ..

I work in Tysons/McLean as an event photographer [and other odds and ends 😁]

This is my 1st time doing the Freezing Saddles .. and this past year was the most that I’ve ridden my bike .. It’s been a goal of mine to be able to ride after spinal surgery .. so I’m SUPER happy about that ..

I’m looking forward to this challenge, learning and meeting you guys!

Thanks for sharing your story, Jae. Here is mine – I immigrated to the USA from Turkmenistan in 2017.  Now, I live in Alexandria and bike almost all over DC Area. This year is my fifth in Freezing Saddles, four of which I was a captain. Love meeting people and ride bikes together. iPhone photography is my hobby; so Jae and I might talk a lot about this topic.

Hi All,

I believe this is my 8th Freezing Saddles, but I’m no pro!  I started riding to become more green, and I’ve had so much fun not adding to the pollition.  I mostly commute to work  with longer rides on the week ends.  Can’t wait to ride with you guys.  But please be warned, I’m no speed racer like Serdar!!  Robin

I’ve always wanted to just ride my bike .. its taken me a bit to get the nerve and just do it .. and that there isn’t any ‘right way’
I’m hoping to learn more about bikes, riding and a ton of other things .. my goal is to use the bike all over .. there is NO way that I would be able to commute back and forth to work while doing the pet/house sitting .. but I’m working on it .. the photography work that I do .. means if I’m going to ride my bike .. planning is involved .. that too can be adjusted .. I just need to figure it all out .. 😁 .. the stronger I become .. in biking and confidence I think that the rest will fall into place. 😊

We had a great first team ride today.

Thanks to Jae, Edy, and Robin for joining and making this ride fun. I hope for many more rides with more of our teammates. Therefore, stay tuned, everyone! I will be announcing here and in our Strava club.
