Ride into work and back home (about 24 miles RT) M-Th, as often as I can.  Thanks Captain

    I like License to Chill!

This is my 4th Freezing Saddles. While cycling saved my sanity during the pandemic and is my preferred form of exercise, my miles really dropped off in 2023 (it was a bit of a crazy year). I’m using this FS as my time to reset and rebuild my stamina. I’m aiming for consistent riding rather than long miles (though I’ll take those opportunities too). Have a couple of work trips that may keep me from riding every day, but I’ll do my best.

Hi all, I’m Chris and although I’ve lived the Freezing Saddles high mileage life in prior years, I’m tapering off this year but will consistently get my 10 miles a day in…not to mention my own 3500+ day streak :).  Hopefully we can all join in on team rides and meet each other in person.

I like the 007 License to Kill name.  And if anyone knows of where I can take a pic of a real live horse let me know…its on my bicycle bingo card 🙂

Me: I would ride to one of these two locations:

an old horse stable somewhere on Gerry Connolly Cross County Trail on the way from Wakefield  Park to Fairfax

Meadowbrook Stables at 8200 Meadowbrook Ln, Chevy Chase, MD 20815

I miss my commuting days. I work from home now and miss two things, commuting on my bike and seeing coworkers in person.

I hear you. Sometimes I ride on my lunch time. What about you?

Yeah, I’m trying to make some time during the day to get outside, on the days that I can. I miss seeing colleagues too. I think a flexible hybrid situation is probably the sweet spot.
