Wow, that text looks pretty familiar. I’d be happy to settle a copyright infringement case for a nominal amount.

No no no. This year on 1/1 things actually entered the public domain in the US – we’re celebrating warm fuzzies in IP law.

Sounds like we have been challenged REJI. Time to come up with the #BAFS2019Bourboneuring Pointless Pretzelesnesswhatwerewetalkingabout?

It wasn’t copyrighted nor trademarked…plus I improvised enough (using emojis;-) to make an original content case

Do you like to bike? Do you like wine? Do you feel left out by the exclusiveness of #BAFS2019beerneuring? If so, this side bet is for you. The rules are simple:

    1. Ride your bike to any winery [emoji485] for at least a Sleaze ride.

    2. Drink wine [emoji485] at that location.

    3. Take a picture of the wine [emoji485]

    4. Makes notes on said wine [emoji485]

    5. Post on this thread the picture of the wine [emoji485], the location, and your tasting notes. It can be anything, like “the wine was red and I liked it” or something sophisticated like @Reji would say that we wouldn’t be able to comprehend. Extra points to those who use the above hashtag and name/number their winery rides, otherwise we might be too winery-eyed to credit your entry.

    6. Whomever posts entries from the most number of wineries by the end of Freezing Saddles wins!

    7. The winner will receive a bike ride to a winery of our choice that reflects the nature of the competition, or a bottle of wine if injured and unable to ride.

    A few further clarifications:

    1. BE SAFE! No riding while under the influence. If you rode your bike to the winery but find that you need to get a ride or take Uber/Metro home, the entry still counts.

    2. You can go to more than one winery on a ride, but see previous rule.

    3. The wine must be made at that location where consumed.

    4. Some wineries have more than one location. A trip to each location counts.

    5. Keep in mind that this competition is to visit the most number of wineries. Once you visit a winery and consume their wine, then you cannot post another entry for that winery, even if you go back later and try a different wine [emoji485].

    6. It is not required, but try to go on at least one winery tour. Fun, educational and you usually get to sample wine [emoji485].

    7. In case of a tie, the winner will be the cyclist who visits the most wineries while cycling the LEAST amount of miles.

    8. These rules are arbitrary and subject to change on the whim of the sponsors.

This pointless prize is jointly sponsored by @BoomerCycles and @CBGanimal but we may consult with @Reji in case of any need for interpretations of above rules.

This Pointless Prize should not be combined with the Silly Rabbit Trix pointless prize!

    First!

1/8 at Paradise Springs with CBGanimal and fxbooks. I had a glass of the 2013 PVT, a blend of petit verdot and tannat. Grapes grown in VA but not on site. Smooth with spice, cedar and tobacco in the middle with a lingering currant finish.

Will post pics when I get home.

1/11 at Casanel vineyards with SMH9600. I had a class of their 2015 Carmenere. Casanel claims to be the only vineyard on the East Coast that grows this grape so I was eager to try it. It was fruity with a tannic backbone which I expect from this grape. The fruit was bright red fruit, which you’d expect from a young wine. Has the classic VA green pepper in the finish. Not too much acidity so drink it now.

You had me at “tannic backbone”… but beware, expectation can lead to dissatisfaction;-)

Was “cedar and tobacco in the middle” a reference to @ffxbooks and @ CBGanimal on your wings?

I had chard – I think. Somehow Reji remembers these way better than me! (I didn’t drink more, I swear!) 7fea4f6baddf770504f1023dfc9d6f15.jpg
