Is anyone taking a tandum to HH with room for a stoker? Due to a fairly significant mechanical malfunction on Wednesday my bike is in the shop/basement and I’m stuck to the Orange/Silver metro line. PM me if this might work for you – thanks.
How about riding a CaBi? Closest docking point to Cap City is just up S Quincy Street by The Energy Club gym and across the street from the Shirlington Transit Center.

OR…..
Maybe someone who lives close to a metro stop you can get to can loan you a 2nd bike for the trip to Shirlington. Seriously, I would do this if BOTH of my bikes were not in the shop right now (I’m already using a loaner).
Are you at work? Does anyone live near Ballston who can loan GB a bike? Or along the Orange Line where he can meet you?
I’m near Steve O in Dominion Hills (about .6 miles from the EFC Metro, and 4.5 miles from Cap City in Shirlington). GB, you’re welcome to borrow my back up bike.

ParticipantI’m also thinking about biking from Falls Church to the happy hour, and I was just wondering if anyone had advice for going back there afterward. I’m a newbie and haven’t really done any night riding except for a sleaze ride on quiet residential streets
. I’m probably too slow to join a return convoy if there is one, is it safe to take the w&od trail after dark on my own if I have a reflective jacket and light? Or do you recommend I find an alternative way to get home? Thanks for any help!

There should be no issue riding the W&OD after the Happy Hour (unless it snows
). Clearly we will have several other riders out there with you and I expect we will be in no hurry.

ParticipantAll these convoys are leaving too late for me. When you arrive at Cap City, I’ll be passed out on the floor. I’ll be the one with the paper bag on my head.

ParticipantI’ll be riding back to Falls Church at the end of the festivities. Look for the purple sparkle pony and the amp. Also, let’s be honest, I’m not fast and my speed doesn’t go up after a beer. No need to worry about keeping up.

I will be riding back to mile 8 (Virginia Lane) on the WOD after the HH and happy to convoy with you. I have a black Trek Madone road bike with a pink Bike Forum hanging off of my red saddle bag. I suspect that many more will be happy to join us, too.

ParticipantI will be heading up the WOD and turning off at the start of the Custis after our happy get-together. Will. Not. Be. Riding. Fast.
I categorically refuse to ride in the company of Boomer2U because he placed ahead of me on BAFS and dropped me on the hills on the Vasa ride.
Unless, of course, he buys me beer. Then I promise to be his best-est friend forever at least as long as the alcohol is coursing through my veins.

She has been talking about getting a CX bike…I just didn’t think it would be mine!

No, but I will be with the purple pony and the amp. That’s just easier then describing my bike.
FINE. I will be on a bike and will probably be wearing my black tights, black sweater and yellow jacket. Is that more helpful?

ParticipantI’ll be heading back to DC – 4MR – MVT – 14th St Bridge – 15th St NW and would be happy to escort anyone who needs it

ParticipantIn all earnestness I am disappointed with the lack of spare spare bikes in this thread. You do realize that n is the 14th letter of the alphabet?!
