Ooh, never mind. It’s pulling rides now.

I just now popped on and its only showing 223 contestants. I don’t appear on the leaderboard (nor anyone else with the given name “Grace” fwiw). :(

I’ve been on the Strava group, so hopefully this is just a database/caching issue?

I’m not on the leaderboard. Did I fail to register properly?

I had to re-authorize the BAFS app to read my Strava data. Now I am showing up.

Interesting! I just tried to login to the FS website using Strava and got the message: “Error code: ATHLETE_NOT_FOUND”

If you are NOT showing on the leaderboard but ARE in the BAFS2018 Strava group, go reauthorize at Freezing Saddles – https://freezingsaddles.com/authorize.

Yeah, I am not sure why some folks have had to reauthorize (assuming they authorized correctly initially?) — but, if in doubt, reauthorize the app.

There are problems right now with pulling photos and possibly other more detailed attributes. These need deeper investigation, as they’re low-level library changes, but I will look into that this evening.

I wasn’t showing up on the leaderboard, but redoing the authorization worked and I’m showing up on the list now. Thanks!

Does it take a while for the re-authorization to go? I am on the strava group leaderboard but I’m not showing up on the website…and I was on last year…

It took about a half hour or so for me to show up. It might have been sooner, but I only checked it about a half hour after I reauthorized it.

It might take a little time – we only pull rides every so often, so you may be authorized and not showing because it just hasn’t gotten to your ride yet. If you have reauthorized, join the Strava club, and waited a few hours and still nothing, let us know.

There are a few rides that aren’t being pulled in due to some of those previously-alluded-to backend issues. So if you have authorized and still aren’t seeing your rides, I expect they’ll be pulled in this evening.

Don’t worry, assuming that your ride looks right in Strava, it’ll definitely get picked up by the software once the glitches are ironed out. (Nothing is being “lost”.)

FWIW, the Freezing Saddles website leaderboard and the Strava Club leaderboards are not the same. That’s a little confusing.

Anyone can join the Strava club. Nothing there is ever official. And it goes by week, not date, so it only matches up when Jan 1 is on a Monday.
