ParticipantHeptadecaphobia!
That’s my vote.

ParticipantI second Heptadecaphobia. I propose that we have this and one or two more names for everyone to vote on, and perhaps decide by mid next week?

ParticipantI’ll probably never be able to spell Heptadecaphobia without copy and paste, but I’d vote for that. It’ll make the other teams think a little.
In other news – anybody up for a group ride next weekend? I hope the saddles won’t be too frozen. My limit is about 35 degrees (which is four degrees lower than last year, and about 10 from the year before that!). I’m in Petworth.

Last year I thought we could look at the leader board and see where we as individuals were placed within the competition. I am not seeing that option this year. You can sort for miles ridden under the People tab, but I don’t see that option under Leaderboards. Am I missing this option somewhere? Was this scoring matrix pulled from the competition this year?
If you go to the freezing saddles standings there is a drop down menu in the upper right corner (menu icon). You can select different options under team or individual leaderboards. I think this is where you would see your individual standing.

ParticipantGroup Ride?
Hey team 17! I don’t know if anyone really checks this forum regularly. I usually don’t. Anyways, it looks like this coming Saturday could be “nicer” weather. Maybe it would be a good day for a group ride? I see there are a few folks who ride the CCT and a few who ride the loop through Arlington. I am probably the outliner way up here in Maryland. But I have done a few rides on the CCT and some trails out to Mount Vernon as well. Maybe a meet up in Georgetown (under whites bridge or something) would be a good compromise on a location to meet up? I am new to biking so I don’t think I would be the best person to plan a route but I just wanted to throw the idea out and say that I’m game if anyone else is.

It was added. Other folks noticed it as well – there is a thread somewhere with more details.
I have always been about team placement but it is also nice to have this option easily accessible.

ParticipantI most likely will not be able to make a team ride next weekend. Small chance Sat morning could work.
Anyone want to try a midweek HP lunch loop or two?

ParticipantHi all. I unfortunately can’t make a team ride this weekend because i will be out of town for 11 days staring Friday, but i hope that you all are able to meet up. Let’s do another team ride soon!

ParticipantI’d love to do a ride this weekend, although my schedule is a little tight. We’re hoping to do a #beerneuring ride Sunday, all are welcome. I’ll post details once we figure it out.
Tentatively I’m open Thursday for mid-day HP laps if that works for people?

It looks like team four has something set up Sat. I might try and make it over to Vienna for this. I will keep my eye out for the #beerneuring ride info as well. I am headed out of town Sunday, but I am hoping to log some away miles in California.
“Legal in Las Vegas will be meeting up with any and all Freezing Saddle’ers this Saturday at Caffe Amouri in Vienna at 1100. 107 Church Street NE. Right off the bike trail. INFILTRATORS WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED! Last year, the gathering at Caffe Amouri was HUGE. In fact, might’ve been the largest social gathering outside of the two Freezing Saddles happy hours.”

ParticipantDon’t forget about the #BikeDC Happy Hour @ Velo Cafe on Thursday!

ParticipantSeveral cycling enthusiasts, including me, are going to see a film called MAMIL on Feb 21 at Regal Ballston, and grabbing some food/beverage afterwards. Just want pass this along in case anyone is interested:
BTW, can we please update the team thread name now that our team name is set?
Cheers,

ParticipantI can’t seem to edit the name of the thread – anyone know if that’s possible?
January 17, 2018 at 8:34 pm #1082028ImaCynic
ParticipantTry this – Click “Edit Post”, then click on “Go Advanced” button on the lower right. The title field should then be editable.
