BAFS 2016 Team 13 Official Thread

Hi All! I’m happy to once again be Team 13 again this year (how did that happen?!) Obviously this team is the most awesome.
I’m joined up on the Strava club. Thanks for getting us started!

Hey TEAM 13, if anyone is up for a team ride tomorrow, I was thinking of something nice and easy, either heading out on the WOD or towards Mt. Vernon. If we opt for the latter those who are interested could then opt for a few HP laps to complete their January Strava Gran Fondo challenge.

The idea is to have a social, no-drop ride involving coffee and pastries (ergo, motivation). Proposed meeting place: Best Buns Shirlington @ 10 (it is the weekend, after all).

By all means make other suggestions if these do not appeal… remember, you are in the capable hands of an Italian organizer…

Sorry, I have an NCVC Women’s team ride tomorrow at the same time. I might be able to join people in the afternoon though!

Hi, long time follower, first time BAFS rider! Most of my rides are commutes and errands regardless of weather. I don’t think I logged many “fun rides” last year, which is too bad. I would be interested in meeting up for a weekend ride if anyone is in the Reston/Herndon area. I’m in the Hinterlands of Fairfax County, after all!

Team name? Glacial Pacers.

I won’t be able to make the 10:00 am ride tomorrow. But I was granted permission for a late afternoon ride so I will go out and get a few miles. Sorry PP, the weekends are harder for me since the arrival of terror baby. I will keep plugging along and find a Saturday to join in.

I think I’ve checked all the boxes and I’m ALL IN! But I sadly can’t do a ride tomorrow AM. Will be at Transportation Camp all day. Will bike there and back, though.

Excellent suggestions. Let’s give it until the end of the weekend then I will set up a poll for voting on the different names.

In the meantime, whatever you do, beware of that Boomer fellow. Above all, do not be seen in public with him – it is bad for your reputation. If you happen to see him riding, do the Washington DC area cyclists a favor and try to disable his velocipede.
