Backroads Century 2019

Backroads is a nice ride. I’ve done it three times. Lots of nice rural riding. They also do a ride on Saturday with a 16ish and a 30ish mile route both of which go through Antietam and have a stop at an ice cream shop.

I’m not planning on it this year but I hope someone has pity on you and offers a ride.

I’ve done it several times but not since it moved to Shepherdstown. It’s fun and challenging. I’m still undecided for this year.

I like the Sheperdstown route better than the old Berryville one. SteveO, rumor has it there may be a car available without driver.

I have yet to do Backroads Century, and I’ve been thinking about it for this year, Even more so if there is a possibility to muster a number of us for carpooling and to share lodging the night before (any still available?). If so, Karen B. is likely to need the car, so I’ll be looking for a ride. Thanks for your initiative to get this started.

I regret that I won’t be in town for PPBRC2019; the Shepherdstown WVA route (and preliminaries ) is a GREAT ride. I had the privilege to lead the marshal crew on the 2015 inaugural ride of the (then) new route, after which we posed for this victory photo:-)
