I routinely wear out the back of my bike shoes because my heels move around a bit* so I end up with holes in the fabric. Since these shoes were broken in and still in good condition, I took them to a cobbler and asked them to fix them. I was very pleasantly surprised to see how well they turned out. The cobbler installed a piece of (red!) leather to the inside of the heel. Fits great and should out last the rest of the shoe. You wouldn’t even know there was a repair! Total cost was $35.

Nicely done! Who is your cobbler? Haven’t had a need for one in a while, but we always took shoes to (and I highly recommend) Highland Shoe Repair (in the Court House ‘hood).
