    Price drop. New forum price $220. Make this gone, please!

    @Judd
    , you want another bike project, right? ;-)

    I think Judd does need a new CX weapon. ;)

    I’m curious about those unbranded rims though. What are they?

    This is a road bike, though. (Edit: Oh, I think you knew that.)

    Those are carbon bike kit rims. They are not bad, though a little heavy (almost 500g) and a little narrow (~17mm internal). Someday I will replace them, but it was a decent budget carbon wheelset (~$500) so I don’t have any regrets. (I am using them now on my ti road bike.)

    Maybe @anomad wants a carbon road project?

    I’ll pass. But its another smokin’ good deal for someone. I’m downsizing too since I have no space here, and all I do is work, if anyone wants a Suzuki DR 650 (Cogent/Acerbis/Giant Loop) or an old Jeep Cherokee or…just spamming your thread.

    This winter I built up that Nashbar carbon fiber 29er frame/fork. In reality, lightweight is pretty silly for me. I just toodle along the bike paths with it at low speeds. Super comfy and effortless to climb with though. Maybe I should leave it at my Dad’s where there are actual trails to ride??

    I’ll throw in a free wheelset build too! :-) Of course, that is only saving you a six pack at recent rates, but BDOP dropped their WTO40 wheelset down to $750 which is a fantastic value for a 1550g 40mm carbon, disc-only wheelset. I have built one set and can confirm they are really nice.
