I seriously hope that someone gave her a BikeArlington bicycling map or showed her that the Google Maps app (among many others) has a “Bicycling” overlay that can be quite useful should you need to take a detour (you know, one of those things that EVERY cyclist/pedestrian/driver has to face at least once every week).

It might just be me, but I prefer local politicians engage in this type of meaningless discussion rather than pull the crap that they normally do.

I expect this to be in the 2016 BikeArlington coloring/sticker book.

Should be easy; she’s got a clear size advantage!

…wait a minute, that sounded like a really mean fat joke (really I meant to reference the size difference between a giant girl and tiny cyclists, but the thought of saying something so evil makes me laugh)!

This device should be useful for navigation. It may have been discontinued 14 years ago and it didn’t have GPS or broadband Internet capability or a hard drive. But people figured out a way to hack the devices and make it more useful. Perhaps it could be used to browse to Google Maps and its route finding feature.

This would allow a future user to avoid the Robocops of Arlington who were guarding the Air Force Association Cycling Classic with high-speed rotating blade devices, nuclear-tipped land mines (on loan from the Department of Defense) and experimental rail gun devices (connected through port openings near the top of 1812 North Moore Street). I could see how someone might think that the Robocop Defense Forces were somewhat excessive this year. It was totally uncalled for to use the land mines.
