    Don’t worry, Ann, as soon as I’ve set up the online contributions and all that, you can be sure that I’ll hit up my generous good friends here!

    They’re doing a few training rides in the area. I rode one yesterday. There were a couple of newbies who were just starting out with cycling, and a 14-year-old kid who has been heavily involved in Best Buddies at his school. The best part was a guy who seemed to have autism who rode with another group. He had numbers left over from his last group ride. He could barely talk, but he was a good rider. A nice group to see overall.

    I think I may sign up for this. Since i’m not running the half marathon in VA beach and I am staying in the area, this would be a great goal to take its place.

    Good idea – they do need volunteers, including people to drive VIPs around in Audis all day, and then to the free after-ride concert/party. If I weren’t riding, that’s what I’d do.
