ParticipantCoolness! I’ll delay my departure that day and document the event a bit. Thanks for the early morning coffee break.
Rock on!

Participantglad to see there’s some interest! let’s hope the weather co-operates
if it’s anything but a downpour it’ll still be on.

ParticipantCan we try to pound the hot chocolate “marathon runner” style – I’ll stop and talk too but it seems like a fun thing to do. Also good location selection.

Participant50% chance of rain means 50% chance I’ll show up! Will do my best to be there, it’s right on my commute!

ParticipantEven in the rain I ride past that spot on my way to work, so I’ll be there one way or another.

Participanti was running late and rode by at 0710 and there wasn’t a soul in site not even a drop of coffee or donut crumb suggesting anyone had been around.

Adamx, I think you were two days early. Look for them (and some of us) on Friday, the 24th.

ParticipantHi everyone!
So, some unfortunate news…obtaining a permit for this pint-sized event has proven a bit more tricky than anticipated, so this will be postponed for a few weeks so we can make sure we abide by all the rules and dodge all potential speed bumps.
I’ll bump the thread and update the title with the new info as soon as it’s all settled and prepped. We’re very, very sorry for any confusion this may cause and hope that when it happens you’ll still have some time to stop by, or at least do the marathon style hand-off :].
If you have any questions, feel free to PM or email me at sr@spokegrenade.com
Thanks for your understanding,

ParticipantThere was a third grader who did this back in 2010 and she didn’t seem to have any permitting problems. Her approach was to just do it and ask for forgiveness later. Story even got picked up by local press and she didn’t have any issues.

Haha that’s neat. Sadly though, I’d say the motivation to fine a third grade is a bit less versus an established company

ParticipantYou know what, regardless of the legitimate pit-stop event thingy being postponed (and it will happen, I promise you that), I’ve decided I’ll still come out and hand out some coupons and bottles of water if anyone is interested in stopping for a brief moment

ParticipantYou just need a 3-year-old on your payroll.

ParticipantIf I’m riding and i see anyone there, I’ll stop for a moment to say hi
