My Strava club shows all 8 of us. (Team 22). Since our team stinks, I really haven’t paid any attention to the text version of the leaderboard. However, I just noticed that McCaren M does not appear for our FS team. What do you suggest I tell her to do? (I am away, so I don’t have the email list you sent me). I also believe that she may still be in Colorado.

Alan – If all 8 of your riders are in your Strava club but not all 8 are on the leaderboard, you need to find out if your eighth rider is going to ride. If not, then you can drop her and I can give you a rider off the wait list. Just shoot me an email and let me know.

And if the person has ridden per Strava and just isn’t showing up on the website, make sure they authorize the website at https://freezingsaddles.org/authorize

OK. That’s what I need to do. She has done rides that appear on Strava. Please do not replace her. I’ll get her to authorize. Hopefully that will fix it.

Team 12 got the last member about 11:30 Saturday night, we’re 8. Yasmeen has 5 January miles that I see within Strava, she is a member of FS2020 club but I cannot see compete leaderboard.

Leaderboard is at https://freezingsaddles.org/leaderboard/team_text. Yasmeen is not on it. I would suggest that you have her go back to ttps://freezingsaddles.org/authorize and authorize Freezing Saddles to read her miles. If she has any private rides, she should make sure to check the box to allow Freezing Saddles to read her private rides. Even if she did this before, that page occasionally glitches and she should try it again.

Another warning shot across the bow … Team captains, if you don’t have 8 riders showing on the leaderboard, you need to do something about it ASAP! If you actually have 8 riders on your team, but they’re not all showing up on the leaderboard, you need to make sure they authorize Freezing Saddles to read their Strava. Even if they done it before, have them do it again. If you don’t have 8 riders on your team, you need to contact me ASAP to get a substitute. I’m willing to be patient … up to a point. The initiative rests with you. Because I have enough people on the wait list to create a team, I would like to do that. But not before back-filling for any no-shows/drop-outs. However, if you don’t reach out to me to back-fill, I may end up creating a team and there might not be any people to back-fill. At that point, you’ll be SOL. Fair warning.

Not sure what time you looked this morning, but when I looked, all 8 were there. I also just looked again and saw all 8 of us. If you’re seeing something else, please let me know.

One more time … If you have less than 8 riders showing up on the leaderboard, you need to:

1. If you have 8 riders signed up on your Strava club, have them re-authorize FS to read their Strava. If they’ve done that and they’re still not on the leaderboard, then you/they need to contact me directly so I can refer to the tech team to resolve. Please email directly at the_penas at yahoo dot com.

2. If you don’t have 8 riders and have tried to connect with whoever is MIA but they are radio silent, you need to ask me for a replacement(s). I’m not automatically replacing riders. You need to ask. If you don’t ask, since at some point I’m going to try to create a team from the wait list, you run the risk of having a team with less than 8 riders.

I’ve had contact with a few team captains and am working to resolve their respective situations. Others (you know who you are) I haven’t heard a peep from. Speak now or forever hold your peace.

OK … I admit I’m getting a little tired of posting here. There are a few team captains who don’t have a full roster on the leaderboard and have not been in touch with me at all (I won’t name shame, but you know who you are). At this point, I’m not going to worry about you. You can keep riding with a roster of less than 8 riders. I’ll continue working with those team captains who have contacted me to get their rosters filled out. Once I do, if I have enough people left on the wait list, I’ll try to form another team. And when that happens, anyone with less than 8 is just SOL and my sympathy meter will be pegged below zero.
