    From the article:
“These potholes in the Metro data aren’t likely to be patched over soon, but Strava’s work with bike advocacy groups is promising. The company has been reaching out to local groups and offering them an exchange: Get your community to use the app to track individual bike commutes. In exchange, you can have access to local data for lobbying city planners or planning advocacy efforts.”

I track all of my rides on Strava already, but how do we make this happen for Bike Arlington?

Have strava put the data into the public domain.

A poorly veiled attempt by Tim Kelley to get more people into the BAFS 2016 I see.

    I’m on to you.

I track everything on strava so I have a concept of how many miles various parts/components are good for.

We’ve been working with Strava data before there was a “Strava Metro” program: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocBGMiFMCes

Since then, we’ve been in touch with their folks and have data from 2012 and 2013. We’re waiting for them to update their GUI to subscribe to the latest available data, and are hoping to work with DC in order to have a larger jurisdictional reach.

So yeah, keep up the riding and tracking!
