Arlington Trail Counts Call For Volunteers – 9/12 & 9/15

This year, ArlCo working with Rails to Trails Conservancy to do some really cool, really nerdy things, and these counts are a big part of that. If you’ve ever wanted to help out, this is the year to do it. (It looks like you’ll be working in teams, so it will be social!) Plus, you’ll not only help make cycling in Arlington better, you’ll help improve counting technology that can be used nation- (world-) wide!

Oh man! I really wish the timing was such I could participate. I do this on my own.

I am weird and play my own “Bike Census” game while riding home from work. I count all the bikes I see (CaBi only counts if in motion, not docked) and if I hit “Census” or 100, its a good day and everyone wins! Today for instance I counted 107, we all win!
