Arlington – S. Washington Street bike trail – maybe it is being extended?

When I go on S. Washington Street south of Rt. 50, I see construction activity on the right hand side – looks like they are building retaining walls and maybe extending the bike trail? Does anybody know if this will be an extension of the bike trail that now ends on S. Wash right around 2nd street?

The Washington Blvd Trail will be extended, but that construction is unrelated. That construction is for a noise wall relating to the bridge construction currently underway at Washington Blvd & Columbia Pike.
