Mr. Kelley said the cyclist was a “gentleman,” which leaves quite a few of us out.

I was being generous, in case it was actually one of you.

Scallywag or rapscallion would also be accurate.

Just noticed yesterday that at some point, the roots busting out of the pavement on the Mount Vernon Trail right at the connection with the 4MR trail (southbound side) have been removed and the little patch there is now level. Thanks to whomever addressed that!

I’d like to borrow their grinder for a day or two.

It’s nice having the whole lane smooth there. When the leaves are out its hard to see around the corner.

The Parkway staff took care of it. Never hurts to let them know you appreciate it.

Near King St. Metro, tere was ongoing resurfacing of Cameron St. near the intersection with Buchanan St and the access to the connector trail to Braddock Metro. Heavy machinery rolling around, that I had to kind of ride around. Hopefully they’re done by this evening.

I should check up on what’s going on with Eads – might go the Eads-Commonwealth route instead this evening.

Four Mile Run Trail west of Rt. 1 is pretty much a mountain bike path, with this sign.

However on the Glebe side, there’s no sign indicating the Rt.1 to Glebe portion is closed.

We need to plant a mole in the GWMP Maintenance Division. After I get my big 3 I would be happy to cut grass for them.

According to https://www.nps.gov/gwmp/learn/management/staffandoffices.htm this is the guy we need to get on board with biking:

    Tony Migliaccio, Chief of Maintenance

There is broken pavement/concrete debris on the Roosevelt Bridge sidewalk on the Kennedy Center side, should this be reported to DDOT Street & Bridge Maintenance?

Now Tania, you still have the TRI Mulch Bog to ride through. Maybe if we can get @dbb to ask NPS nicely, they will leave it there for you after the trail repaving is done.

For the love of all that his holy and fun, at least leave me the downhill kicker heading west after the trail turns right at Uhle/the new(-ish) MOM’s before climbing back up to the bridge to nowhere.

Deal. Those of us wishing to avoid it can do so by crossing the yellow line if trail traffic is not too heavy.

The resurfacing part appears to be done as of last evening. Pleasantly smooth surface to roll on.

Next is, presumably, the line-painting part. I’ll take the MVT again for the morning commute because it’s a nicer view, and then swing by Cameron in the evening.

There is broken glass on the W&OD at the sharp curve below Brandymore Castle. I picked up the larger pieces this morning, but it would be great to have it swept to get all the small pieces. Can someone inform the responsible jurisdiction?

Alexandria’s resurfacing craze has hit Eisenhower Ave. I didn’t bother trying to ride across that this evening. Just walked the bike.
