Anyone make a hood for your headlight?

The discussion over on missed connections got me thinking again about making a hood for my headlight. A “cap” on the top of the light wouldn’t limit its illumination of the trail but would ease eye strain for fellow path users a great deal. Exactly the same way many of us put our hand over the top the light. I have a little strip of duct tape on the top of one of my lights, that is as far as I have taken the idea.
Something a little less than a full blackout style military light, but that’s what gave me the idea.
