After 135 miles from Mckeesport to Cumberland on the GAP this weekend mine are tired! Was all I could do to get on the bike today.

And all I can say is that the whole “recovery ride” idea is overrated!

Nice ride! That is an awesome stretch. I love recovery rides. I guess I graduated from the “Thank you sir. May I have another?” school of cycling. Hang in there!

In answer to your question: no, not on a Monday. In fact, ever since I passed the last decade mark of life, the legs ALWAYS hurt.

The awesome stretch was the last 22 miles (downhill) from Big Savage to Cumberland

I think my wife did learn one thing though. I never seem to be able to get her to start a trip before 11am. That unfortunately meant we made it to the halfway point @ Ohiopyle well beyond dark thirty on Saturday. Let me tell ya, that trail is DARK at night. Fortunately I had chucked both my Dinottes in my bag before we left or it would have been a quite interesting ride…

Nice going CCrew. I really like that trail. I’ve only done it in the reverse order as you though, but I can imagine the last 22 are great fun as I was cursing the first 22 of my ride ; )
